Our Sand Perch is a unique and stimulating perch that offers a mini massage while assisting in the natural grooming of your feathered companion's nails and beaks. Deliberately coated with sand to create a rough texture, this perch provides an ideal surface for your parrot to engage in essential grooming behaviors.

The sand perch's rough texture serves multiple purposes. Firstly, it helps naturally file and shape your parrot's nails, preventing overgrowth and the need for frequent trimming. Secondly, the texture aids in keeping their beaks in optimal condition, as parrots instinctively rub their beaks on rough surfaces to groom and clean them.

It's important to note that the sand perch should not be the primary perch your bird stands on for extended periods of time. The rough texture, while beneficial for grooming, may cause abrasion or wear down the soles of their feet if used excessively. We recommend providing a variety of perches in your parrot's habitat to ensure they have options for different textures and surfaces to stand on.

Additionally, the sand perch is not suitable for birds with leg injuries or conditions that require a softer and more supportive perch.
