Breeding can be a taxing process for parrots, both physically and emotionally. These dummy eggs provide a safe, effective, and humane way to manage and control breeding behaviors in your beloved feathered companions.

EACH SET CONTAINS 6 EGGS OF THE SAME SIZE

Product Features:

  1. Premium Quality: Our dummy eggs are made from non-toxic, durable plastic, ensuring they withstand the rigors of daily use.

  2. Four Size Options: We understand that each parrot species has unique needs. That's why we offer four different size options, perfectly tailored to accommodate the breeding tendencies of various small parrot species.

  3. Breeding Control: Our dummy eggs simulate the appearance, size, and texture of real parrot eggs, tricking your birds' natural instincts into believing their clutch is complete. This helps prevent excessive breeding and encourages your parrots to focus on other enriching activities.

How to Use:

  1. Identify the Correct Size: Determine the size of your parrot species from the available options - each dummy egg is designed to mimic the approximate dimensions of common small parrot eggs.

    • Tiny: (~16mm x 12mm) suitable for finches
    • Mini: (~19mm x 16mm) suitable for Australian/American budgies, parrotlets
    • Small: (~22mm x 18mm) suitable for English budgies, lovebirds, lineolated parakeets
    • Medium: (~26mm x 21mm) suitable for cockatiels, green-cheeked conures, quaker parakeets, lorikeets
  1. Monitor Breeding Behavior: Observe your parrots and recognize when they are exhibiting breeding behavior. This could include nest-building, territoriality, or egg-laying tendencies.

  2. Replace Real Eggs: Once your parrots have laid an egg, carefully remove it from the nest. Replace each real egg with a corresponding dummy egg to complete the clutch.

  3. Observe and Monitor: Continue to keep an eye on your parrots during the breeding season. With the dummy eggs in place, your parrots should eventually stop laying additional eggs, as they believe their clutch is complete.

Be responsible bird owners! If you wish to breed your parrots responsibly, it is essential to consult with a qualified avian veterinarian or a bird breeding expert. Otherwise, do take into consideration that there are many parrots out there in need of better homes, so, do support adopting rather than breeding!
